Override Value Prediction to Drive Efficiency
Most overrides by Demand Planners fail to add value on top of our Touchless Forecast. Planners can be pressured into overriding up to match to Sales Targets or Budgets. This captures what we would like customers to order in future as opposed to what true demand is likely to be. Not great for the Supply Chain at all.
GitaCloud helps raise real-time predictions if a planner override is likely to add value or not (based on override direction, size, touchless forecast accuracy, and track record of similar overrides).
We track Override Value Added (OVA) and continually learn from positive OVA instances to refine the Touchless Forecast. This leads to a much more efficient process where Planners make fewer overrides - only the ones which help. This can result in 5-10% additional lift to forecast accuracy.
